What Is Going On With New Crop Soybeans?
World stocks of soybeans are at record levels

The market reached the historical targets percentage-wise for Feb-Spring Advance

You should be no more than 20 percent forward contracted. If the market trades beyond 642 it should move to near 710 or 750-775. The structure shows that prices could stay up another 3-5 weeks. Failure to hold 603, however, means the rally is over and a down swing can be expected.

This will tend support prices even without fundamentals to justify it. December futures broke through resistance at 244 last week and should continue higher. Average advance February-Spring is 13 percent, which projects a target at 256.

  • Optimal selling period during April is the window of the 7th-13th
  • Cycle analysis points to a top occurring around March 29th or April 4th-6th. Whether this will be the high for the growing season remains to be seen.
  • The recovery may not end before June 6th.
